It was a process, it wasn’t easy & it didn’t happen overnight.
She relinquished the control that un+forgiveness holds.
Out of her mouth flowed the words,” I forgive you.”
Even when they didn’t ask for it.
Even when they weren’t sorry.
This decision wasn’t about them, it was about her. Finally.
In those words, she found freedom.
She learned in the process that there’s power & bondage in un+forgiveness & her peace depended on this vital piece. She could no longer afford to carry such heavy baggage. Anger, hurt & pain was not going to hold her down from her future.
So one day, she found the courage to LET GO.
