The Power in an Apology

While closure doesn’t require an apology, not getting one can make your heart ache something terrible. For the last few days, I’ve been heavily reflecting on what makes it hard to apologize and what the person seeking an apology really is asking for at the core of it all.

To be seen.
To be heard.
To be felt.
To know that your hurt matters.

When you care about someone, all of this matters. So today, I just want you to know,

You are seen.
You are heard.
You are felt.
Your existence matters.

By God. He saw you all along. He hears your cries and frustrations, He feels what you’re going through and your presence is what He craves daily.

Be encouraged, sis. While it is important to know that you can heal without the apology, it is just as important to acknowledge and honor the hurt that can come with not receiving the apology.
